Dwight D. Eisenhower was born in 1890 in Texas and raised in Kansas, Dwight D. Eisenhower was one of America's greatest military commanders and the thirty-fourth President of the United States. In 1911, he passed the entrance exams for West Point, the main military academy in the U.S. From that point on Eisenhower’s there was a major turning point in his life in which he elevated his status in society and eventually became America’s thirty-fourth president. Eisenhower had a great amount of support from his voters in 1950 for his previously honorable accomplishments because of his military career and economic prosperity that helped enhance the United States.


Dwight Eisenhower was one of the most important allies of WWII. He became the Allies’ Supreme Commander and commanded the forces in Germany during the end of the war. On December 7th, 1941, Pearl Harbor was attacked which lead America to declare war on Japan, Germany, and Italy. Eisenhower became senior war planner for the American army. He then became the Allies Supreme Commander and commanded the U.S. occupation forces in Germany. Dwight Eisenhower was a key player in the Allies of World War II. He kept being promoted to higher ranks that let him make decisions about the country’s actions during the war, and later became president.

Dwight Eisenhower was first elected president in 1952, and was re-elected in 1956. Eisenhower had a very unique and distinct style of governing that helped him achieve his large number of supporters. He believed that a successful government emerges from a conservative economy and liberal treatment of human beings. Eisenhower focused mainly on the domestic issue of civil rights. Eisenhower developed programs that set a fair and balanced budget and a cut in taxes. He then increased the minimum wage, created unemployment benefits, increased funding for public housing, and many more programs that helped his popularity...
