"The main thing for me right now is just to live my life with my family and friends. They treat me like Leo, not 'Leonardo, Master Thespian'. That's all I need to keep my sanity."


Many people come to mind when thinking of this essay, but the person I did chose is not a musical prodigy, an acclaimed writer, or brilliant painter like Leonardo DiVinci , though named after him Leonardo DiCaprio sets himself a side from the hundreds of actors in the world by making a difference. Out of hundreds of actors who also contribute time and effort into healing the earth he sets his own individual mark in the world not just with acting but also as an environmentalist.
Leonardo DiCapiro’s resume ranges from his first real role playing Luke in Growing Pains to Oscar nominated roles as Danny Archer in Blood Diamond. Through all of this he still stays humble and on the right track not letting fame get to him, “I insist on keeping a level head. I've maintained the same exact home life that I've had for 20 years. All I see is more people looking at me than before. But, you know, who cares? You just can't obsess yourself with this fame stuff.” Even other actors applaud him on his stability in a world where you don’t see that very often. Mark Wahlberg replies, "He's the most down-to-earth person I've met. He's very un-Hollywood."
He holds the screen, like a great silent actor. He has a natural sense of how much to give and how much to hold back. I watch him, and I know he's a true actor. The camera knows it. And most important, the crowd and audience know it. But not only did he extent his gifted talents to the world to acting but he is also an environmental conservationist and often advocates and supports natural causes.
