Time Management Skills
The big reason why time management is important is because having good time management gets things done in a timely manner and not having to worry about it later by procrastinating and stressing out, plus still being able to have a good well balanced schedule to still have a social life. Also with good time management you can retain more information while learning, you enjoy work more without having the thought of other school work on the back of your mind. Better quality in your work is also a result of good time management skills that will also lead to good grades in school, and the college and work experience will be better experienced.
A good time management technique is to write down everything you need to do, such as homework, things that needs to be done at work and also around the house. Some people may think they can just remember everything they need to do in there head, but it’s easier on you to just write it down that way you will always be sure you know what has to been done and when it has to be done so you don’t accidentally forget something.
Having a schedule is great for time management, and sticking to it is make things a lot easier. There are three different kinds of schedules you should have that will make your time management easier. First there is a semester schedule to help keep track of all your classes and deadlines. Another type of schedule is a weekly schedule, which will break down what needs to get done that week and needs to be scheduled by importance and due date. Next there is daily schedule that will include everything that you need to do that day and the same with your weekly schedule; your daily schedule should be scheduled by importance.
