On Tuesday, election packets were released from the ASB office, beginning the three-month long project of deciding the ASB officers in our school. The student council of Mount Si High School announced that the following positions will be filled by election; ASB President, ASB Vice President, ASB Secretary, ASB Treasurer, and ASB Inter-high Representative. Each office position will hold many diverse responsibilities and each officer will take on individualized projects to help lead Mount Si towards a strong future.
“I expect students who will run for office and chair positions are people who want to make a difference,” said ASB head adviser Charles Kinnune, “Students who want to be involved in making their school a better more exciting place to attend.”
All students must meet different requirements and eligibilities upon entering the campaign, which are specified on the ASB Officer Expectations paper from Tuesday.



ASB President:
Presides over ASB related meetings, activities, projects and committee work. The President will represent Mount Si at any requests from administrators, teachers, and students. They will hold liaison between the freshman class and ASB. Most importantly, they must become a positive role model on and off campus.

ASB Vice President:
Forms and develops new student programs in conjunction with the counseling center staff. The Vice President must assist the ASB President with their tasks. They will hold the liaison between the sophomore class and ASB. They must also become a positive role model on and off campus.

ASB Secretary:
Assists with correspondence, keeps records, and makes appointments. The secretary must participate in discussing finances along side the adviser and other elected officers. They will hold the liaison between the junior class and ASB. They must become a positive role model on and off campus.
