In a world where everything revolves around money, many people create ways to establish their identity in the game. The game can be looked at as a productive way to develop full use of potential talent amongst today’s musicians and artists. Hip-hop artists play a huge role in today’s modern marketing society. Many musicians today strive strictly off their music; they produce a living creating albums and putting them out on the market. A well known artist by the name of Marshall Mathers, a white rapper more commonly known as “Eminem,” or “Slim Shady,” had created his own record label company specializing in hip hop music dating back to the year 2000. Slim shady was solely responsible for his record label company with his mind sweeping rap rhythmic talents and his marketing and his advertising techniques.
With his extremely influential and successful hip-hop skills, he created his own record label record company; titled the “Shady records,” which has been a huge success in today’s entertainment scene. Through the many years of hard work of producing his underground albums, Eminem built his skills and established himself at the top of the hip-hop industry. Eminem’s influence and his reputation on other musicians developed him as a leader of other newly born inspired artists. In the early creation of his label, Slim Shady carried a large fan base, which allowed for him to further elevate his career and his music by producing a lot of sales.
To further raise his career, Eminem produced a movie called 8-mile. 8-mile sound track CD came out following the movie’s release in the theater; it sold 3,185,537 copies (Blog Critics.) Eminem is credited for the CD, although it was labeled soundtrack due to other artists being on the album. Besides creating televised music videos which in a way worked like advertising for his new records, Eminem is also the co-founder of the clothing line called Shady clothing.
