GREED
We live in a world that is ruled by wealth, power and material possessions. A person’s personality measures by what he has instead of what is on the inside. Greed can be defined as an excessive desire that drives our interests. Greed can change people, and make them always want more; more money, a better car, a nicer home or better carrier. Everyone has a little bit of greed in them; some are just greedier than others. Greediness is not a bad desire as long as you control it. Otherwise it becomes greater than a disaster. Since I started to work, I realized that greed is one of the most important structures in a society because it is the primary motivation a person’s life and it drives the economy.
First, the economy based on consumer needs. As long as we need to buy something, we will spend money and our needs will always be endless. As the companies get more competitive, consumers get greedier. The companies know that greed drives the economy. For instance; this year Coach Bags are fashionable. In America every five woman has a Coach bag. Next season, Gucci purse will be more fashionable. Next year, whoever needs a hand bag or does not, will buy a Gucci purse. Especially in USA, without greed, the economy as a hole would fail overnight. It is the greed of the worker, striving to earn more money, which drives our country and the world forward.
Second, greed has been the primary motivation factor in every major historical, scientific, social, and economic event so far. Even though our society thinks that greediness is equal to money, it should not only think in that way. Greed can make people wonder and every time work harder such as Leonardo Da Vinci. His talent and determination has always been a big inspiration for me. Even though he was already a famous artist on the world and making enough profit, he was still studying on...
