Objective – Third Person
Alexander strode up the stone walkway toward the front door. He was dressed in a black, short-sleeved shirt matched with baggy, denim jeans. Alexander had a muscular, athletic physique, and he would have worn his clothes well if they weren’t custom-tailored. He whipped his knee-high boots of cordovan leather as he walked, as if his thick, hairy arm had a mind of its own. His dark eyes squinted in the dim light. All he could see was the large timber door in front of him. However, it wasn’t that massive compared to Alexander. The wooden door opened at Alex’s approach, and he stepped into an enormous foyer with a water fountain bubbling in the centre. He handed his gloves and hat to the pale butler who had opened the door, and made his way inside.
Subjective – First Person
It was quite dark as I made my way up to the front door. I had to be careful not to slip on the stone walkway. I wasn’t properly dressed for the ball, but I like to make my first impression a remembered one. I was dressed in a short-sleeved, black shirt with some loose denim jeans. Everyone else was dressed in suits and top hats. I have a habit of whipping my boots with the crop as I walk. I was gradually approaching this wooden door and to my surprise it opened, revealing a large foyer with a magnificent water fountain in the centre. As I walked inside there was a pale looking butler waiting for me. I handed him my gloves and beret and he walked me inside the giant room....
