ABSTRACT ESSAY

“To accomplish great things, we must dream as well as act.” – Anatole Forbes. It is said that humans are never satisfied and truer words have never been uttered before. Desire is the focal point of human existence, without it we would never have come as far as we have. Desire is the root of all of our greatness and, at the same time, our greatest fault. Without a desire, a goal, one becomes lost. Desire, to me is the drive to satisfy a craving that has been lingering in you mouth and on your tongue.
Ernest Holmes once said, “All limitations are self imposed” .The only thing holding you back from the things you want is oneself. If one has the drive one can accomplish anything . Lance Armstrong set out to be a world-class athlete and cyclist. Lance had a strong willed desire deep inside his soul that pushed him through his obstacles, namely, cancer. Not only did Armstrong fight the cancer, he won the Tour De France a record seven times. Lance was able to yield to the natural human process of allowing his own true nature to unfold in its own way, and in the process he achieved far more than he might otherwise have been able to do. We can all do this. The seeds of potential are within all of us. We just have to get out of our own way and let them grow.

Roslin Copeland wrote a poem that makes one focus back every time they feel like giving up. “Dare to Dream and you will surely fly! Live with Vigor and you will be at your best. Love with passion and you’ll be on your natural high. Search your soul and you will certainly find your quest. If you believe in your desires, your dreams, and your values, you will achieve success”.
