Strengths
• Facebook has really focused on the insight of the community and not only the individual. They have really helped bringing people, friends and families together from all parts of the globe.
• It is socially interactive, it is giving people that are not self confident enough to go out there and meet people, a chance to meet and interact with other individuals- which makes it highly popular between all age’s.
• It's addictive- it's super addictive. Features like "status" make it really clingy. People want to know what their friends are doing, and inturn people want their friends to know what they are doing. It's almost an excuse for yourself to get onto Facebook.
• Our generation has become so socially orientated that we want to connect with different people, learn from different people, and see what kind’s of things they do(fashion trends) With facebook growing so much each day they have the opportunity to become the place where everyone goes to see all they need from trends, news and other features. They just have to find the right ways and applications to capture their 10 million members.
• Facebook seems to have found that right balance of privacy. You can choose your personal privacy settings and at the same time your friends know exactly what's going on. Your friends know when something changes; friends know when other friends message each other, friends know when you've added pictures this enhances the interaction alot more, and this is one of their main strengths. With the news feed on your home page it makes a social page so interactive. As soon as you log on you can see exactly what your friends have been doing, who’s added pictures, who’s in a relationship, who broke up. All these small pieces of information give it an enormous advantage over other social sites such as MySpace as it creates more interaction between peers.
