Ethics, also known as moral philosophy is a branch of philosophy that addresses questions about morality—that is, concepts such as good and evil, right and wrong, virtue and vice, justice. There are five main factors that can influence a personal ethics, which is family influence, peer influence, life experience, personal values and morals, situational factors. These factors slowly form a single personality through the process of growing up since childhood time. During this process a person will become good or evil depend on how those factors influence you. In this essay, I am going to talk about two most critical factors that have the most influence on the formation of a personal ethics, which is family influence and peer influence. While a person still piece of blank paper since she was born. She is learning and gathering information that sends to her around her. The first influence would be her parent. She will learn from her parents for act they have done and slowly become her own personality. During the process of growing up, the second factor which will influence her would be her friends. Friends play an important role on influence a person. In a society or group, a person normally has to share a similarity in that group of friends; either they share the same hobby or topic in order to stay in the group. Now let’s talk about family influence to a person ethics. Since a baby was born, a person spends most of her time with her parents. On that period, she will learn and mimic everything her parents did, such as habits and attitude. I found out that 80 percent of the parents who are picky eater makes their children picky eater too. This is because while a child is small, all the decision was made by the parents, either on food, habits or hobby. If the parents don’t like to eat onion, they will try to avoid cooking it at home, and they will refuse to eat any
