Taare Zameen Par
There is a famous Bollywood film directed and produced by veteran actor Aamir khan, called “Taare Zameen Par” which means “stars on earth.” The movie is about an eight year old child named Ishaan suffering from dyslexia which means he has difficulties in written language, spelling, and reading. The boy was totally disobedient, and disinterested toward reading and writing. He is not much interested in things like assignments, marks, exams and neatness but his world is filled with wonders like color, fish, dogs and kites. He also has a broad imagination and his view is far better than others but he is totally weak in physical activities. He just cannot seem to get anything right in the class which results in him getting punish time and again. The main theme of this movie is everybody is not intelligent when they are born, they have to be sharpened by someone.
The movie starts off with the boy who was having fun in the lake with fishes. He was weak in studying but he has some special interest in drawing. This interest of the boy was not noticed when compared to the mistakes done by him while studying. Due to all this he tends to become a shy person and does not express his feelings. He doesn’t speak to anyone even his mother when he knows that he was put in the boarding school due to his low grades. But as compared to him his elder brother Yohan was more talented and always reaches top of the class in studies and sports. Yohan was supportive to his brother.
As he was sent to boarding school for his discipline there was not any change in his studies. The academic report went on degrading. This cause was due to the shock of being separated from his family. He was also tortured literally by his classmates and started hating the world including his desire for painting.
