Social Networking Service Essay

Most of us in this day and age have some sort of Social Networking Service (S.N.S.)   like face book, myspace, some kind of blog, or any of the other thousands of sites dedicated to social networking. Now I may even been jumping the gun, you may be new to S.N.S. and don’t even know what I am talking about. Social networking service is,
“An online service, platform, or site that focuses on building and reflecting of social networks or social relations among people, e.g., who share interests and/or activities. A social network service essentially consists of a representation of each user (often a profile), his/her social links, and a variety of additional services.” (1)


Now that we know what a S.N.S. is I will explain how to set up a Facebook account and access it. Little fun fact about Facebook in the beginning of its life users could only join Facebook if they were in college. Now anyone can have a Facebook account but on to starting an account.
1:) Go to Facebook.com and once there fill out the web form hey have on there homepage to start the process.
2:) Facebook will send you a confirmation email to your email account you provided. You need to access your email account, open the email and click the provided link connecting your account and logging you into Facebook.
3:) Now that you have a Facebook account reap some of its benefits! Search for friends, business, or just things you like. Add them to your friends list and chat send emails or post on each other walls. Besides texting and emailing you can upload pictures and videos for people to see and comment on,  

Now we have a Facebook account and know some of the benefits that come with it, however there are some dangers that come with having a S.N.S. or Facebook account. I will discuss three dangers that come with having a Facebook or some kind of S.N.S. account:
