Legalization Of Medical Marijuana

Sitting in your parents basement, at age thirty-five, and working at McDonalds doesn’t not seem like the main image you think about when you picture a thirty-five year old, who went to high school, and college. You would picture this person to be working a full-time job, and very possibly supporting a family and living his life, making a future for him self. For most people when you smoke marijuana on a regular basis, this would be your future plan in life. Smoking, or eating marijuana causes distorted thinking, impaired learning ability, and memory loss.
The legalization of marijuana is a highly debated subject right now, ranging from the U.S. to Canada. The issue cannot come to a final decision between anyone. Everyone has his or her views about how marijuana should be used whether for personal, or medical use. I have my views, and the authors of these three articles explain their views very well, along what is going on with this issue of legalizing marijuana, and how the industry of growing and selling marijuana is becoming quite the business now days. I have read three articles two, which are from CNN.com, and the other article from Forbes.
The first article that I read was from CNN.com, written by Joel Stein, called The New Politics of Pot was very interesting. Stein addresses the issue very well about how so many people are involved with this issue, and the different sides people are taking on the issue. Stein knows that everyone from twelve year olds to seventy year olds are smoking pot, and this issue hits close to home for most those people who are around that kind of substance. “A TIME/CNN poll last week found the only 34% want pot to be totally legalized. While some 80% think it is ok for medical use, and 72% think that people caught with it, should only be getting off with a fine.” (Stein CNN 2002) Stein also addresses a claim of action that many organizations are backing up the people who would like to see medical...
