As if it is in a race with time, science continues to develop and evolve, unconscious of the changes it brings along the way! Some believe that science resembles a shield for self-defence, while others consider it nothing but a weapon for destruction and damage. The question remains: Is science a way for a better and easier life or is it purely the devil’s weapon for destroying Earth slowly and painfully?!
The world is in deep need for science, now-a-days. That is because human beings are becoming more and more accustomed to the simpler life they live with the help of science. It is not only knowledge and skills; it is now an art and a way of life, for without it, medicine, technology and space-exploration would have never developed. Weapons, aircrafts and missiles would never have developed as well without the help of science. Science has become an ethical, social, educational even religious issue having its own supporters as well as its opposers.
Without science, life would not have been this easy. Medical operations are becoming even simpler by the day. Faster and more efficient machines are being discovered to replace manual work. Exploration of orbits, planets and the universe as a whole is no longer a difficult task. Transportation from one part of the world to another is possible within hours. Communication is even easier thanks to satellites. Also, the atomic bombs, the nuclear missiles, the aircraft, and other military equipments would never have been discovered without the help of science. And with the presence of more types of machinery in factories and other manufacturing plants, pollution found its way to our planet and is helping in the destruction of the ozone layer along with the harmful effects it produces on people’s lives and the environment as a whole. In a religious and ethical point of view, science attempted to raise several questions. Cloning, abortion and other medical issues...
