What is Global Warming?

Global Warming is an increase within the Earth’s average surface temperature, caused by carbon dioxide creating cloud cover trapping the suns light and heat, and causing the planets temperatures to rise!

What is the green house effect?

The Greenhouse effect is when the temperature begins to rise and the sun’s heat and light becomes trapped within the earth’s atmosphere. An example of this; is similar to when a car is parked out side on a hot day. The light and heat travel in through the windows and become trapped. The heat builds up and just keeps getting hotter and hotter. This example is similar to how green house gases work with the earth’s atmosphere and affect our planet. The Heat and light travel through the atmosphere, becoming trapped and can’t get out again and as a result the temperature rises.

Sometimes the temperature can change, and this is sometimes good for us. Why, well it’s because the greenhouse affect makes it possible for us to live on this planet. With out it, the Earth would be simply to cold for us to live on or either to hot! It would be freezing at night because the sun would be down, and then we wouldn’t be able to experience the sun’s heat and light making the nights a little warmer. Also during the day, especially in summertime, it would be burning hot, because the sun would be up with no atmosphere to filter it, so people, plants, and animals would be exposed to all the light and heat.

Although the greenhouse effect makes it possible for us to live on earth which is good, but if there is too many gases, the earth can strangely become warmer, and many plants, animals, and people will die. They would probably die because there would be less food such as; vegetables, wheat and fruits etc. This would happen because not all plants would be able to restrain the heat. This would cause us to have less food to eat, but it would also limit the...
