Richard M. Nixon once stated “A man who has never lost himself in a cause bigger than himself has missed one of life’s mountaintop experiences. Only in losing himself does he find himself. Only then does he discover all the latent strengths he never knew he had and which otherwise would have remained dormant.” We as individuals have to realize the importance of our strengths in order to make a difference in relating personal growth. Having different goals, priorities and special qualities about ourselves is what gives us individually. It is with these key factors I have learned to realize and shape my own strengths. My conviction for life and successes is what allows me to start each new day, even though my personal barriers have kept me in a state of caution for a vast fraction of my existence.
The personal obstacle that is my life has directed me through dissimilar experiences, which in turn allows me to connect with other individuals and there obstacles. I’ve often been told by many of my current friends and employers that there is an ambience about me that just wants them to convey anything that has gone amiss in their life. Personally, I believe that it is my knowledge of experience that allows people to share their emotions, and accept my criticism. This in turn creates strong positive relationships.
When people get immersed in a culture with strong new memes, it tends to be a sink-or-swim proposition. Either you change your mind, succumbing to peer pressure and adopting the new memes as your own, or you struggle with the extremely uncomfortable feeling of being surrounded by people who think you're foolish or inadequate. My stubborn attitude and strive for success is what allows me to distant my self away from such distractions, by separating myself I cope with independence, and acquire it as my own.
