The Effectiveness of a Roger Dubuis Watch Advertisement
As one looks at this ad they will most likely look over the two watches on the page and look at the other things in the ad. This is because company advertisers are trying to get people to buy that specific product. This ad in particular shows and man holding and seducing a women while wearing the watch that the advertisement is for. On the far right side of the page the watch is by itself. On the other two thirds of the page is the man with the women. This ad is a great representative of hoe sex can sell. In my opinion I believe it is a very effective ad.
The first piece of evidence that is being used in this ad is the use of sex. A man getting ready to kiss the neck of an attractive woman really grabs the reader’s attention. In this advertisement the product that is being advertisement is Roger Dubuis watches. This suggest that wearing this watch will make a very attractive women fall for you. This will make the reader make a connection with wearing this watch and picking up attractive women or men. The reader may also be inclined to buy this watch if they really believe that they are going to look more attractive. In reality this is not an accurate acquisition. In reality this is not true. All this ad is doing is giving the brand name an advantage because people may buy it for their own reason.
The second piece of evidence that show that this ad is effective is how they shine a light on the watches and the hands of the people in the ad. This is showing how the man and woman have their hands crossed like they are hugging each other. This is targeting the sexual part of the ad. Sense the man is holding the women in this advertisement the reader will make a connection with the watch and the people in love. Also, by looking at the ad the reader can make an association with the class of the man because of what looks like a higher class suit that the man is wearing, furthermore, this...
