The United States should have universal health care available to all Americans. The United States is the only industerlized nation that does not provide its people with health care coverage. Health care is considered as privilege in the United States but only to those who can afford it. Health care should be one of the basic rights for the citizens of the United States or anyone that is eligible. Many people are negatively effected by the rising of the health premiums however, when a universal health insurance is offered, people will be less stressed, it will decrease the death rates, and also lessen the long term physical pain. Yet, the government and the primary care trusts( PCT) want to place a minimum waiting period for the non-urgent cases.
People living in the United States are in a need of affordable health insurance. Since premiums and private health insurance are expensive, Americans are asking the government to provide them with inexpensive health insurance. Statistics show that 78% of the people have health insurance are not satisfied with the cost ( ). Which indicates that the majority is looking for the perfect health insurance that will satisfy them. As a result people are looking for jobs with benefits, however not all the employers provide health benefits for their employees. Even the employers that do, spend between 4.6 and 8.7% of their payroll on premiums as shown in ( ). Now a days, people are afraid to lose their jobs so they don’t lose their health benefits.
There are about 45 million Americans who do not have a way of protecting their health by a health insurance and struggling to avoid any diseases and expensive medicine. The uninsured are more likely not to be able to fill a prescription because they can’t afford the prescribed medicine. They are also more likely to pay more money out of pocket due to the increase on cost of prescribed drugs. Most of the uninsured are diagnosed at a late stages...
