Client: Manuela

Date: 1st October 2010

Manuela has been feeling anxiety for around three months regarding her relationship with her husband of 20+ years. Through her generally happy marriage she has supported her husband in his career and relatively recent career change whilst bringing up their children.

Her issue is that her husband’s business is taking off and he has hired a younger female secretary. She feels threatened by this although she knows the woman is happily married. Her husband is working locally but spends a lot of time at the office. She is frustrated at feeling so threatened, and upset at the idea of being betrayed by her husband after she has given him so much support and put his career first for all their married life. Issues / Symptoms Presenting – Fear at being betrayed and let down.

Issue / symptoms working with today – As above but also a lack of support for her needs from her husband.
