ABSTRACT
This assignment consists of an brief introduction on solar energy and role in Indian government on solar energy. It also consists of challenges & constraints of solar energy and its opportunity in India. Solar energy is the biggest source of energy. Indian government had adopted various policies to extract opportunity from this energy resource. Some of the government authorities body are MNRE, IRDEA, SEC. Many big solar power project is been promoted by both public and private sector. Solar energy can be utilize in many ways like solar water heater, solar termal electricity, solar cell etc.
INTRODUCTION
The Sun, our nearest and the biggest star, is the biggest source of energy to us. Sun energy or the solar energy has been in use since the time human existed on the earth. Solar energy is our essential need and we need it naturally to make our life work properly. Sun has a lot of stories and histories attached to it, for most of the humans of the world, Sun is God, it is a Holy part of religion to many tribes like the American Native Tribe, it is also worshipped by the Greek people, where as many other religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism and Druids of England take Sun as the priority of their religion.
We know that solar energy is highly important for us and without it we would not be able to live our lives. Through sunlight our food grows on earth and the animals eat the food, and the circle goes on that we have learned in our previous post. We need solar energy to get our work done from inside home to outside there in the factories and industries. The old fossil fuel is also one form that has a lot of energy trapped in it.
