Adolescence -Zack
Adolescence is a time of “storm and strife”. Adolescence is a period of time between childhood and adulthood. This is the age when one can either make something of his life or destroy it all; this is the time when a person makes those friends who changes the how he looks at life and how he faces it. An adolescent's main goal these days is to fit in and not be different from their peers. In this section of the paper I am going to be discussing the drug use, loneliness, and rejection that adolescences could face, and what happens if there is no guidance to help them reach adulthood.
Zack is a 20 year old male that I went to high school with he lives with his dad in a two bed room shack. Zack is not attending school but holds a steady job doing lawn care with an older buddy (33) named Rob. Zack has always had a hard life and was never handed the opportunities like other peers in life. Zack has always said he was going to succeed in life and he had high goals for his self. He is a smart kid and also very talented.
His mom Sarah is currently addicted to crack cocaine and crystal meth and is also an alcoholic. She has rejected Zack his whole life and chose drugs and alcohol over him. The fact that his mom has rejected him his whole life has made him feel like a failure .This bothers him to the point of deep depression.
Zack had a bright future in Baseball .In Zacks life was Baseball was all was there for him unlike his mom was. Whenever he felt down and out baseball was his savior that brought him up and gave him hope in life. Zack had a good number of friends at school and on the baseball team that were close. Along with teachers and coaches that would do ant thing to help him. But some of the parents thought Zack was a trouble maker and a bad influence. So the parents would not let their child hang out with Zack after school or on the weekends. This forced Zack further in to exile and to the point that baseball could...
