As a girl, growing up was tough. Sitting by the big window in our living room, wishing daddy would stop working on his cars and come in to play with me. As I dream the day away, I would dream about going out to the park with daddy. In my dreams little Anna would be holding tightly onto daddy's big strong hand as she pulled him along, calling "Faster Daddy, faster! I want to play with you on the slide and on the swings." I'd dream about running in the big grass field in th park, with daddy chasing after me. When he would catch me, he'd lift me up and say, "I got you!" as he would first start tickling me and then lift me up and twirl me around and around. I'd be laughing and kicking and trying to break free. Then I'd run away from him again so he would chase after me some more. I would also dream about sitting on daddy's lap, listening carefully as he read my favorite stories about Jesus to me from my Children's Bible. But, as a little girl, I already knew that dreams only come true in movies or in fairy tails. I knew, in my little child's heart, that my daddy would never pay any special attention to his little girl. In my family, growing up, I had two sisters, older and younger, and one brother. He was the baby of the family and the only boy. I always wondered why my daddy never found any time for his children or for my mommy. Daddy always left for work before I woke up, around six in the morning, and came home around four. I knew he was tiered after work, so I would let him sleep. He would sleep for a couple of hours, and then he would go and work outside in the garage with his cars. I was afraid of asking daddy to play with me because I knew that if i did he would yell or even hit me. He would say, "I have enough things of my own to do then play with some silly kids. That is your mothers job." But, man do i wish that daddy would know how much his little Anna loved...
