1) What are your career aspirations, and how can a Graduate Program at Franklin University help you to reach them? Why now?
2) Describe your strengths and weaknesses as they relate to your academic ability, contributory work experience and personal qualities and characteristics that you will bring into the Program.
3) The admission criteria emphasizes strong academic ability, contributory work experience, a strong work ethic and demonstrated professionalism. Based on these criteria, how will you be able to contribute to the collaborative learning environment?
Social philosopher Herbert Spencer said, “The great aim of education is not knowledge, but action.” Franklin University not only equips their students with knowledge, but also with the skills and the framework to take that knowledge and act on it. Franklin’s easily accessible Programs make it convenient for the working student, and allows for the flexibility needed to balance both everyday life and continuing education. Because of this, as well as my academic and personal strengths and experiences, I am confident my development at Franklin will successfully enable me to reach and exceed my career aspirations.
My long-term goal is to be in an executive-level position for a non-profit agency. I majored in Social Work, with minors in Sociology and Psychology, and have been working in the helping field since obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree. My education and experience has, and continues to, broaden my knowledge and skill level in the areas of intake, customer service, leadership, networking, and advocating. Experience will continue to help me reach my goals, but in order to most effectively continue my journey in this field, my knowledge of business principles and leadership must be expanded by furthering my education.
