I read your application in the Daily Times and I am interested to come and apply for the summer job. I would like to help with the “Newly come puppies” department and I am sure I would be great a help for you.

My name is Jim George and I am a secondary student at Maple School. I love animals, especially puppies, and I strongly believe I deserve the job. I have three dogs myself, which I really love and care for. I have had a 3 -month training in animal care and I can manage to work well with animals. I am also a good student in school with a GPA 4.00 so I may do other jobs besides helping with dog care. Once I received an award for concern for animals in school. Furthermore my father had a dog pound when I was ten, so I learned a lot from him.

I also have several very reliable references. I have worked for a summer with a very good vet who suggested this job to me. Also, my homeroom teacher knows I love animals and I am able to do this job. But my most important references are my three dogs. If you see them I am sure you would understand the love I have for animals and how much I care for them.

I hope you take my application into consideration I promise you will not regret hiring me.
