I attend Martin Luther King Jr. Sr. High School as of current my rank is 66 out of a class of 307 with a grade point average of 3.21. I am part of Center for International Studies and Commerce (C.I.S.C.) this is an accelerated program that accept students through an exam. During my years at King I have take several advance placement classes as my transcripts reflects. In my academic career I plan on attending Pennsylvania State University to obtain a degree in Economics. I plan on ending my academic career at Columbia Law School. Professionally I plan on becoming a Corporate Attorney and eventually an entrepreneur.
An organization I am involved in is DECA is an association of marketing students. As a requirement of my program I had no choice, but to sign up. At first I was leery about the whole process and club itself, I did some research. So, I complied all my teacher asked of me was to take the test. While I was to going through the studying material for the test I saw that this organization cover a lot of aspects of what I wanted to do with my life. Now I am a first place winner in the district as well as vice president of my chapter. Being in this organization has taught me leadership skills as well as opened a whole new career pathway.
My volunteer experience has extended me to the Mack Alive program I started getting involved in it in eighth grade. This organization has a purpose in the betterment of its community. Participants’ clean parks provide tutoring services to youth over the summer. Those experiences have taught me to admire the beauty of my community as well as the value of a helping hand.
