Moreover, Porter’s 5 forces model is an outside-in business unit strategy tool that is used to make an analysis of the attractiveness of an industry structure. In the following, it will undertake fast-food industry to analysis.

There are a number of crucial social phenomena, which profoundly influence fast-food industry and their activity. With the rapid growth of society, People are searching for services that could save their time and offer high levels of convenience. In addition, people in UK work longer hours than in other most Europe countries. longer working hours mean less time at lunchtime and after work to cook and prepare meals. So fast food is an ideal solution for providing quick meals than other food sectors, in turn, there is a growth of sandwiches which deliver to their office, and sandwiches have been a major growth area in the fast food market.

However, in resent years, a growth number of people have paid more attention for eating fast food. Since some fast-food sectors are in the over fat and salt. It is facing a potentially phenomenon: health consciousness. So the burger is facing opposition as a result of the obesity debate and from general concerns over the nation diet. As consequently of this trend fast-food market more or less will be impacted.
