Have you ever heard of global climate change? You may think it’s a bunch of nonsense or maybe you strongly believe in it. But whether you believe in it or not, our world is changing.   We, the people of the world, need to be more aware of the consequences which can be potentially deadly to the earth and to the human race. Our world is a delicate balance of temperature, climate, and human environment-interaction. Once these prove to be too much for the earth to handle, it will be too late to go back.
You may think global climate change has always been a possible issue. Well this is far from true. It all started around the 1950’s after World War II when hundreds of thousands of war veterans returned from the war. They decided to buy a car and a house and start a family. At the same time, our country was going through major industrial changes along with the world. This would prove to be too much for our delicate mother earth to handle. We would soon find a name and a cause for a global temperature change. This is called global warming and it is caused by the greenhouse effect. The atmosphere controls how much of the sun’s light gets trapped within the earth’s atmosphere. But when too much light gets reflected back towards the earth this is due because too much carbon dioxide, methane and chlorofluorocarbons. These gases are being released into the air which get trapped in the atmosphere. In effect, this causes the sun’s light, that is supposed to be reflected back into the atmosphere, to be reflected back towards the earth. The more this occurs the higher the surface temperature will be. This is just one of the effects of global climate change.
Additional effects can be detrimental to the earth’s future survival. These devastating effects include icecaps melting, large species extinction, and global sea level rise. If the earth increases its average temperature which is now 57°f to say 59°f+, this small temperature...
