Throughout the history of time, the world has gone through many hard times, unfortunate incidents, and breathtaking actions that have left people speechless and unable to understand. But some of the most heinous unremarkable troubles that go on through time is the violence and viciousness that appears inside the classrooms and hallways of all grade level schools all over the world. Columbine High School was one of the worst cases of high school violence where In Littleton, Colorado, two high school students walked into the school and killed 12 classmates and a teacher then killing themselves. Similar cases have occurred in Georgia, Oregon, Tennessee, Arizona, Kentucky, and in Mississippi to name a few, and it seems to be getting worse as the years pass on. Recent occurrences have been the Virginia Tech shootings, and the sad unfortunate shooting at Northern Illinois University, both of which will never be forgotten. Now the debate is whether the blame should be placed on the parents and teachers, or if the problem is within what students themselves are being introduced to in music, television, and make believe things that produce violence in human reality.
Some people look at these cases of violence and the first thing they think is what are these kids doing that would cause them to do such horrible things. When it comes to the parents of these problem children, they don’t want to believe it is the child’s fault, so they start pointing fingers at someone or something else. The main poison they look at is T.V and music as the cause of why these kids act the way they do. By watching violence and viciousness on T.V the children feel that it is ok to reenact what they see, the same goes for what they listen too, hearing that it’s cool to shoot up places and act violently as a part of being popular and in the so called “In-crowd.” So what do these parents and others propose to stop the acts that occur, by trying to stop the violence and bad actions of...
