Many different people have different views on the environment. Some people care very much about the wealth of the environment while others would rather live the American dream. Bill McKibben and John Bragg both share their thoughts and feelings about how SUV’s affect the environment. With global warming, many people are unaware of the harmful affects the environment is having on earth. While reading both articles, I second guessed my thoughts on suv’s.

He wants to target everyone but environmentalists. He makes a point that SUV’s are more spacious and gives the driver freedom, which is what the American dream is. Bragg states that environmentalists should be worrying about bigger things that are destroying the environment rather then attacking people with SUV’s. Bragg wants environmentalists to realize that an SUV is a symbol of America. There is freedom in having an SUV. Knowing you can go anywhere you want and have the room you want in a car is what Americans want.
