Devotion Devotion is absolute. When an individual is devoted to something, nothing can stand in their way. See, devotion is not something that is suddenly decided upon. Devotion grows and matures with time, like fine wine. Devotion is simply there. Something deep within creates this feeling of devotion, and perhaps may not be overcome by anyone but the person who posses it. The dictionary definition of a word is extremely important because it is the most popular to quickly find the definition of a word. Unfortunately, words are often times used without truly understanding the definition. To be devoted to something is to be completely focused on a goal or achievement. Recently during a conversation in the cafeteria, a good friend of mine named Kevin told me, “to live life without a goal is like not living at all.” If this is the case, at one point or another, everybody will become devoted to something at some point in his or her lifetime. Devotion is an immensely strong force, driving one to the limits in order to continue on. Without devotion, the world might come to a screeching halt, as nobody would posses the will to endure through the rough times along the way to success. A person devoted to something is similar to a funnel cloud approaching a town, completely unstoppable. Many things in life are routine, they start and stop everyday and after they’re done, life continues on, only to be repeated yet again tomorrow. Devotion is different, it’s never ending. Devotion is all around a person, surrounding them and engulfing them. It in fact, becomes the person.
