High School vs. College
Education plays an important role in our lives. To have an impact on your life, the lives of others and the society you live in, you need to acquire education. To gain good education one has to attend both high school and college. When I enrolled in college after graduation from high school I found myself in a complete different world. However, many people think that high school has a lot in common with college; I found there are many differences.
In high school, students aren’t held responsible compare to adult in colleges. As students don’t need to be responsible because parents help their children in high school for everything from taking classes, doing homework, etc. Teachers are strict in high school and makes student do their work on time. Teachers explain the class rules in the beginning and throughout the duration of the class. When the bell rings students leave their classes which indicate the class is over and its time to go to the next class. Parents and teachers remind students responsibilities and to guide them in setting priorities. Teachers also told students, what to do and correct them, when students behavior is out of line.
In college, students are more responsible for choosing their classes and majors and find little help from parents. In college, teachers only provide their students a syllabus which explain them their assignments and due dates. Also, College students have the opportunity to take classes according to their schedules, contrary to high school where there is one strict schedule for everybody. In college students have to pay for their classes but in high school it’s totally free. In high school a bus will pick you up students and drop u off everyday, while in college you have to arrange for your own ride.
In college teachers don’t force student to do their homework and follow rules contrary to high school where teachers always force students to do their homework and if not...
