While close-minded people do not understand the life of the gay community, homosexuals have dealt with a history of discrimination. Someday America will get over the differences and see gays as people too. Just like they have with women, blacks (African Americans) and other minorities. To help get a better understanding of what the gay population has to deal with on a day-to-day basis; the following research about how close-minded people do not understand the life of the gay community and how homosexuals deal with discrimination.

The anti-discrimination law says that every person has the right to expect to be treated fairly. Anyone treated deficiently because of race, sex, marital status, transgender, homosexuality, disability, marital status, age or has been sexually harassed at work, getting a service of such, school or club the Anti-Discrimination Board can help with confidential advice on how to handle the situation and explain laws that can protect oneself. The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is another organization out there to help and protect against discrimination. They have a mission statement that says: “The mission of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is to build the grassroots power of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.”
The training activists, equipping state and local organizations with the skills are needed to organize broad-based campaigns to defeat anti-LGBT referenda and advance pro-LGBT legislation and building the organizational capacity of our movement. As part of a broader social justice movement and the work that creates a nation that respects the diversity of human expression and identity, which creates opportunity for all.
