Cancer Research

Cancer is a major problem that the world is facing today and I have chosen cancer research as my topic. Cancer refers to any malignant tumor which has uncontrolled cell growth. Cancer cells can occur in any part of the body and can cause death. There is no cure for cancer .The researchers haven’t found a cure yet for this dreadful disease. So there are lots of people dying and suffering because of cancer and it is up to the scientists and to the society to work deliberately to find a cure.
People have already learnt that finding a cure for cancer is hard and need to put lot of work into it to survive the lives of the cancer patients.1 in 6 people get cancer. Cancer doesn’t have an age limit. Billions of children die from cancer every year. As a society can we do something rescue the world from this disease? Also after doing some research I found out that the US government spends billions of dollars on cancer research every year. Is this money enough to carry out the research? Because we know that doing cancer research is hard and we can’t use humans for these experiments. So the experiments have to be done very carefully and under special laboratory conditions. So I would like to research some more on the money that they spend on cancer is enough and whether the money is spend exactly on cancer research. It is obvious that we need to find a cure sooner. Not only in USA bit also the other countries are working on cancer research continuously to find a cure. There are some ethical concerns, such as even the scientists find a cure, will we be able to give the medications to the patients without giving them any side effects. Also the scientists should be able to find a cure to give to children as well. A good example would be chemotherapy. Getting chemotherapy is really expensive and not all the people can receive this medication. With the patients’ condition it is really hard to give a strong medication.
