as each girl finds a photocopy from the book about herself, she launches on another girl she suspects wrote it. it is complete “jungle madness” as girls jump on top of one another, slapping and hitting, even though none of them can prove who was the author of the pages. verbal bullying is a more subtle form of bullying, involving use of language. it entails threatening, spreading rumours, verbal abuse, gossiping, name calling and insulting people. verbal bullying is seen in Mean Girls where Regina tells Gretchen, “stop trying to make fetch happen, it’s not going to happen.” Gretchen is only trying to impress her friend, but Regina’s

Dictators can bribe government officials to stay out of trouble, while school bullies can bribe their principal to avoid inconveniences. Another similarity between school bullies and dictators is how they both use violence. To remain powerful, both need to make sure that their followers never make a stand and fight back against them. Physical intimidation, as well as emotional and psychological, is used to frighten followers. Punishments are given out to anybody that opposes them and tries to bring them down.
The movie ‘Mean Girls’ provides insights into the concept of belonging because throughout the film the director Mark Waters shows the journey of Cady Herring (Lindsay Lohan) trying to find where she belongs in the social ranking at her new high school. Her predilection to belong with the ‘popular groups’, this desire puts some of her very few friendships she has on hold and they slowly start to crumble. The film discusses how trying to belong does not always have a positive outcome and isn’t always a positive thing to achieve. In today’s society almost everyone is superficial; people are judged on their appearance, the brands of clothing they wear, weather they have the latest phone, laptop, the type of house they live in the area in which they live and if they have a high paying job. And if you don’t have all of these or most of these you are generally considered an outcast.

Some students establish extremely solid relationships through cliques; however some are unhappy with their group and want to be in a different one. Social Cliques have an effect on kids in positive ways; they really help some students out.
A Peek into the Unachievable Gossip Girl is a popular and widely watched show by a younger teen audience that craves to get a look into the lives of the rich and elite of New York private school girls. The main female characters in the show are given many characteristics that set the basis of how girls need to act and dress in order to be successful in getting the man they desire. The main goal of the show is to sometimes subtly and sometimes pretty obviously show that women should base their lives around those of the men that they are with or want to be with. The ideology seen in Gossip Girl is that women are not as dominant and successful as men and they need to constantly strive to be thin, flawless, long legged, rich, big chested and know how to use their sex appeal to get what they want in life. That is the definition of what beauty is in the show.
