Automated Convenience System (ACS)
Description:
The ACS is a new technology which transforms traditional shopping experiences at convenience stores. It is a system which allows customers to self-serve in buying necessities in a vending-machine-like environment. Samples of the products are displayed on a product display machine while the real products are kept safely inside the storage area. This technology will be introduced to supermarkets and convenience stores and we will provide the technical support to meet the specific needs of our customers.
How to operate:
When customers enter the store, they pick up an ACS card and use the card to make purchases. Products are located on a vending display machine. When they see a product they want to purchase, they scan the card to the scanner of the product and the system will record their card number. When customers are done with shopping, they go to a self-serve cashier where they scan their card onto the cashier. An attached touch-screen will show their list of the products they have scanned, and customers can edit it and make other requests to their orders (e.g. to double-bag the products). At the end, the system will sort the products according to the list and customers just pick-up their purchase and go.
Features of the ACS:
- Centralized technical support system in each region.
- Automatic product sorting and bagging system so customers do not have to do it themselves
- Cashiers most methods of payment e.g. cash, debit card, credit card
- Provides higher security to the store since real products are only stored in the storage...
