The article I read was about the huge drop in housing prices thats been happening in our country and more specifically here in Santa Rosa and how it relates to the nation's economic problems. The article is mainly about how people often become very scared and timid about buying homes and other large products or investments with talk of a recession looming. This article relates to our in class discussions on the radical housing price drops that we've all seen here in Santa Rosa. It wasn't too long ago that we had outrageously high housing prices which have now fallen significantly. This increased dropping of prices has made buyers and sellers alike very skeptical when it comes to selling or buying new homes which has also helped fuel the drop in prices. Another factor is that sellers want to sell their homes for what they were worth a few months back and the buyers are simply not willing to pay and so housing deals fall through in escro. This aridcle explains how because of the low prices of housing that this would be the prime time to buy a new house if you don't already own one. I think this article is important as it may help people to get the courage to make big purchases such as a new house which will help out our economy as a whole as well as the benefit they will personally recieve from the purchase of a currently low peice of real estate which will have increased value as time goes on.
