I believe to have a friend you have to be a friend. Like if one of you friends needs something and it’s within your power to help them you should. I would do just about anything for my close friends if it were within my power. I guess im just that kind of person. I like to help someone in need. If it’s within my power. But sometimes you’re not able to help them if it’s outside of your limits.

But sometimes your true friends show. Sometimes you think people are your friends but they truly aren’t. They end up stabbing you in the back. Someone you have put all your trust in lets you down. This is one thing I cannot stand. Some of the nicest people are let down by people who they think are friends. Friends don’t go behind other peoples back and talk bad about them. I have experienced this many times. There is only a few people that I put my trust in now because of that reason. But sometimes even those people let you down.

Another thing friends don’t do is start rumors about you and give you bad reputation. I think if they are a good friend they will take up for you if someone talks bad about you. There are very few people I know that would do that for me. I guess that is where true friends shows. A true friend would also let you know if someone has talked bad about you. Some people just try to hide it from you. They wont tell you what has been said. Or sometimes they just go along with what other people say. It can really make someone really upset when this happens. It makes me believe there is no such thing as a true friend. I’ve heard people say that you will only have one friend your whole life. Because all people won’t to do is talk about other people. I guess this is just human nature.

It really makes me mad when other people talk about others. I try not to talk about other people but sometimes I give into peer pressure and do what a true friend should not do. But later it really takes a toll and feels so bad...
