Global Warming

At one point in time dinosaurs ruled the world, however one of the greatest questions that surround dinosaurs that scientist still are not sure of is how did they become extinct. Many scientists believe that a great meteor hit the world causing it to heat up to such high temperatures that is killed off the dinosaur. This phenomenon is also known as global warming. Scientist are now saying that instead of a large meteor, the use of combustible engines, Styrofoam cups, and pollution of any kind is the cause of global warming. The use of these products may affect the world’s temperature but it does not affect it to the degree scientists are claiming it to.
According to Al Gore the definition of global warming is this. “An increase in the earth's average atmospheric temperature that causes corresponding changes in climate and that may result from the greenhouse effect” (Gore p.5). To describe greenhouse emissions this example can be used. As a car with its windows rolled up on a sunny day keeps the sun's warmth inside the car, carbon dioxide or any other greenhouse gas has the ability to prevent the reflection of solar radiation back out into space. The greenhouse effect is a natural phenomenon. It is the reason our day and night temperature differences are so narrow. But with excessive carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (6 billion tons of carbon entering the atmosphere) each year the greenhouse effect has expanded to the point that major climate changes are underway. This means that the earth’s temperature increases do to the type of gases in the atmosphere. In today’s news when one watches it there maybe a report one global warming. However, the news only says global warming is caused by pollution. This call of global warming by pollution is one of the greatest farces that have ever graced beautiful mother earth.
