NEW GENERATION – NEW MEDIA
THE ‘NEW MEDIA’ USAGE AMONG YOUNG INDIAN EXPATS RESIDING IN DUBAI.
Abstract
Young people are addicted to new media; there is an essential role of media in their lives. Today live media-saturated lives, spending an average of nearly 6 1/2 hours a day with media. Young people have access to an unprecedented amount of media in their homes, their bedrooms, and through portable media devices. Children with easy access to media tend to spend more time using those media. Young people's use of "new" media such as computers and video games does not seem to displace their use of "old" media such as television and music.
Through this research question such as, (1) What activities do youth use their cell phones for? (2) Are student using the high access internet so that their work is don’t faster. (3)Do young use internet to do their college work? (4) What is their favourite media medium (5) How much do they approximately spend time on a new media (6) What about podcasts. So these will be the few questions that will be looked into among the young Indian people living in Dubai.
To get this information there will be an A systematic literature review, bringing together disparate research into young people’s access to technology, technology usage and media consumption habits.   Lessons drawn from social media usage online will provide a contextual understanding, and by also conducting out a questionnaire among the people.



Introduction
Today we are in the middle of a new revolution in both technology and culture; a revolution in which teenager are often in the vanguard, for they are the first generation that is truly “growing up digital.” Of course, interactive media for young people is not entirely new.
