Unfortunately, I’ve learned the hard way that sadly not all people are good. I tend to face myself against reality when I don’t want to see the negative in situations. I believe that a friend should never hold you back from your dreams and instead they should be there to help and guide you through the bad, the good, and the ugly. They should be a support system and be there for you as much as you would be there for them and it’s always nice to have good influences as you grow into adulthood.

I would have liked to have more information from the Amish perspective than the outside world’s view, but there was significant conclusions drawn from what was available. It seems the program has a good start in the community and will be beneficial for other Amish communities to get started. I was intrigued by the multicultural aspects of the article and where it has went in the media. There has been more information available for the public in regards to the Amish way of life. They have always valued their privacy, which made it interesting to see that they have allowed some of their cultural aspects to be shed to the public.
It is of utmost importance to carefully choose the people we associate with, as we are greatly influenced by our own peer group because they can assist in developing a strong individual identity. We usually feel more secure when we know that we have others around us who share our goals and care about our progress. Being part of a peer group fosters the idea that we are accepted and loved for who we are. This is why change is often difficult for certain individuals because suddenly, you are cut off from your regular group, who you have become so familiar with. We sometimes seem wired to adopt the goals of the people around us, particularly when we develop a close relationship with them.
It is important to deal with people with respect for their abilities, personal space. But communication can also be used in the wrong way for example sarcasm, gossip. It must always be correct communication with the correct and factually truths, for it to be received and understood. After all we would expect no less ourselves. Just talking to your team on a daily basically makes all the difference, the team feel wanted and needed.
A person’s strengths and weaknesses derive from their character. This character is what people tend to be like. When looking at my character you have to look at all of my qualities even though they might not be so good. A strength that I have is to be prepared. Being prepared is something that I as a person must do, because I hate the feeling of not following the rules by not doing something that is very easy to do.
