The strongest value of why I'm apply for biomedical engineering is my interest. My keen interest to learn made me decided to take this course as my first degree. Interested is my strong word here. If I have no interest, then why should I take this course?
I am fond of mathematics and physics since high school. I love both subjects because, for me, they only requires common sense, as they don't complicate things. Mathematics is just about not giving up. We have to try, and try solving to get the answer. Just like in life, we never give up on something. That is what I love about mathematics, calculating, solving problems -that made your head to ache. In physics, which are different from any other science subjects like chemistry and biology, physics is just physical science that usually occurs in our daily life, which is easier for my mind to accept the fact.
Why biomedical engineering? Since I was a little girl, I dreamt of working in a medical sector. There is just something in me that wanted to work there. So since my course in pre-university was into engineering (as I take mathematics, physics, and chemistry as my subjects) ,I would like to combine engineering into medical, which I found it to be biomedical engineering.
In my country, biomedical engineers are rare. Plus, we do not have biomedical engineering in my local universities. For this reason also I am intending to take this course. As after I finish my study, maybe I would start my work, or I would pursue my studies into masters to get a professional degree and be a lecturer some day so that I can teach the new local generation about this course.
As for now, I am currently working as a part-time cashier at a fast food restaurant. Working for the first time in my life making me more independent, which is important if I am going overseas, and I appreciate money since then as they do not come easily.
