In modern time being honorable defines a men’s character as it did so in the medieval time. Being honorable earns favor and respect in society, because it’s the right thing to do. In today’s society many men don’t care about being honorable or even respected. But in the medieval time men would go through great lengths and depths to earn more and more honor. Putting God first, taking care of my family and being responsible for my actions are a few codes of honor that I live by.
Putting my personal Lord and Savior first in everything I do is my number one priority. I believe that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I also know there’s nothing to big or impossible for God. Last week I had my CNA test and before I took the test, I prayed. And I passed my test with flying colors, because prayer changes things. If I make God number one in my life, obey him and read his word I wouldn’t have to worry about anything. And because God is my major priority he will not lead me astray but in the right path to fulfill my purpose.
My second priority is to take care of my family, because it was them who took good care of me. I helped out my family by getting a part time job, paying bills and buying groceries. I love my family unconditionally, and will always have their backs, because blood is thicker than water. And everyone one knows when going through scary situations their family will always be there to support them and comfort them. Because I help pay bills, it helps take care of my family.
As a student I realized that I would have to take responsibility of my actions and faults. A couple of weeks ago I turned in a paper that I didn’t write. The teacher talked to me and explained that it was wrong. And that she would allow me to do the assignment over in my own words and thoughts. I apologized and rewrote the paper.
