“Abortion”

Abortion is the removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus from the uterus, resulting in or caused by its death. For decades, it has been one of the biggest controversies in the United States. There have been numerous activists, organizations and public debating about this subject. People on both sides argue over its legal and moral stand points. The one question that is on everyone’s mind is, “Is Abortion right?” To me, abortion is a very immoral act in which millions of children’s lives are destroyed each and every day. I openly take a stance against the act. Abortion takes place everyday and has claimed the lives of thousands of children. People who oppose abortion are called, “Pro- life”. A person who is pro life tends to speak out openly against abortion, euthanasia, and stem cell research.
On January 22, 1973, a Supreme Court case was decided in the infamous Roe vs. Wade case. The effect of the case was overturned and thus, made abortion legal in the United States. “Since than, a total of more than 47 million deaths of unborn babies have been unjustly put to their deaths.” (www.htmlbible.com/abortstats.htm). Since than there has been a fight to end abortion by many groups with the same views of morality as those who have a need to preserve the lives of all unborn children. These groups are known as, “Pro Life” activists.
The “Pro life” movements have been around for more than 40 years fighting for ethical rights of bioethics, including stem cell research, human cloning, and above all, abortion. They generally come from a Christian influence and activate in marches, and many public events.
For people who speak for abortion, they are called, “Pro-Choice” Pro choice tend to favor controversial topics opposed by “Pro-life” activists. They believe than a woman has a right to choose over whether they want an abortion or not. They also set up campaigns and generally tend to be represented by outspoken women, for...
