Write a travel journal of all the things that happen in your week. Look at the situation as you are not apart of it and see how people react to different environments in the city.
WEEK One
This is the first week of University. There are a lot of new faces.
WEEK Two
If a young black girl holds hand with a black boy it seems to be normal. If a black girl is holding hands with a white male they got a lot of attention.
WEEK Three
I was running late on my way to work and was driving faster than usual to arrive on time. I got stuck behind a learner driver and decided to over take. In my haste as I only had several minutes left I sped down the road. I bumped into a set of traffic, which was not normal for a Tuesday afternoon in Harrow. I noticed there was a car blazing heavy base music, and suddenly stopped it. I noticed because I was liked the song that was coming out of his speakers. It was a new track from 50 cent’s album. In my race against time to get to work I was growing impatient and tried to see what was causing the cars to move so slow as there were no traffic lights on this stretch of road. I then became aware of what was causing the traffic. A horse-carriage hearse turned off the road followed by a string of cars that were most likely apart of the funeral. The hearse was covered with flowers and one that said, “MUM”. I was left feeling awful as I realised why I was being held up and was so angry. I then understood why the car that was beside my turned his music down. He was being respectable due to the fact that there was a funeral in place. I was late for work in the end but knew it was my own fault.
Normally if cars are held up, you will hear a lot of horns from angry drivers behind, but in this circumstance everyone showed their respects by waiting patiently behind the hearse and kept in complete silence. There was no music from cars, and no cars overtaking each other....
