Demographic trend – Future demographics of Singapore

There is a need to know the future of Singapore’s demographic, to predict how the bread industry will shift.

From the diagram below, we can see the size of the young generation is falling steadily and slowly. With government efforts of encouraging childbirth, this can be seen as a steady growth of the very young (0-4 years) over the next two decades, which might be a potential market for market growth in the near future. However, Singaporeans of aged 10 years to 29 years would see a negative growth in the following two decades.
