Global Warming: The Consequences, Causes, and Solutions.
Global warming is a major threat in today’s world. In the last couple of years global warming has become a major problem because of several reasons. One reason is that many people in he past didn’t want to believe that global warming existed and that there were other explanations for what was going on. If the human race does not take global warming as a real threat there could be many severe consequences that could end up happening. The severity of global warming is causing the polar ice caps and other glaciers to melt at a faster rate then usual, also over the past couple of years the amount of tornados, hurricanes, typhoons, and wildfires has increased dramatically and caused untold amounts of damage, also the disruption of the ecosystems in the world. Global warming is being caused by the increasing carbon emissions by humans, the greenhouse effect, and deforestation. There are several ways that we can reduce the rate at which global warming takes place like limiting the amount of carbon emissions that are allowed to be emitted into the ozone, also we could cut down the amount of cars and gas powered tools that we have, another way is to by change up the light bulbs that we use in households.
Consequences of Global Warming
There are several major consequences of global warming but one of the most important consequences of global warming is the alarming rate at which the polar ice caps and other glaciers are melting. “ According to NASA the polar ice caps are melting at an alarming rate of nine percent per decade" (Consequences of Global Warming). Every time the polar ice caps melt they are increasing the level of the oceans and changing the shore lines on the Pacific and Atlantic coasts.
