The Mandarin Oriental Hotel has decided to extend its luxurious brand of hotel to the island of Kava. This new expansion will bring the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group one step closer to achieving its mission of having hotels in key destination. Through various research and investigation we believe that the Kava will bring the Mandarin group of hotel new prosperity and a new market. The Mandarin Oriental hotel will cater to high end guest that has the money and is will to pay for a piece of paradise. The company plans to spend 2 billion to build a five diamond luxurious hotel which will consist of; four hundred (400) guest room, additional 20 one and two bedroom suites, five (5) restaurants, two championship golf courses, spa, tennis court and tri-level swimming pool. The hotel will be nested on 70 acre among the lust foliage of sloping hills and a beautiful private beach. The Mandarin hotel will provide a rare opportunity for visitors to experience a different view of Kava. It will reveal unspoiled landscape, breathtaking beaches, stunning sunset, and swaying coconut palms. The company has no doubts that they will be successful in this venture as Kava is prime location for this industry. It is secluded so it will give guests the privacy they desired without the confiscating the paradise for which they seek.
Development plans
The tourism industry is a muti-billion one. The Mandarin Oriental group believes that the Kava tourism could become a booming and lucrative industry if the island is developed and marketed correctly. Currently tourism arrival for Kava is below 500 per year which is far less than its potential earnings. Other South Pacific Island such as Bora Bora reported an average of 250,000 visitors per year.
