Colors is a filmed based on Los Angeles street gangs. Two cops played by Robert Duvall and Sean Penn are assigned to L.A.’s C.R.A.S.H (Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums) program to help stop the violence on the street while driving in their unmarked police car. Duvall who plays the veteran cop operates very smoothly with the gang members, while his partner, a rookie, is very aggressive towards the gang members. Duvall is lenient towards the gang members with petty offense only so he can catch the most serious offenders with the help of other gang members who he was lenient towards. They want gangs off the street and to make their neighborhood a safe place once again, but are not willing to help since they believe it’s the police’s jobs. The gangs are running violently shooting at each other and even at the cops...
