Basic Information of Pepsi and Coca-cola:
Pepsi-Cola beverage is produced by PepsiCo. The drink was first made in 1980s by pharmacist Caleb Bradham in New Bern, North Carolina, and the brand was trademarked in 1903. And since then, many brands were produced by PepsiCo in addition to its original drink Pepsi, such as, Diet Pepsi, Pepsi twist, Pepsi max, Pepsi blue, Pepsi wild cherry, Caffeine-free Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, and many others. Pepsi-Cola‘s basic ingredients are; carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, sugar, colorings, phosphoric acid, caffeine, citric acid, and natural flavors.
Coca-cola beverage is produced by the Coca-Cola Company. It was originally proposed as a patent medicine when it was created in 1885 by John Pemberton, in Columbus, Georgia. Then Coca-Cola was purchased by Asa Grigs Candler, a businessman, who led Coca-Cola to its domination of the world soft drink market during the 20th century. Later on, many soft drinks were produced by Coca-Cola Company under the brand name Coke, such as, Diet Coke, Coca-Cola light, Coca-Cola Zero, Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke, Coca-Cola with lime, and many others. Its basic ingredients are; sugar crystals, caramel, caffeine, phosphoric acid, coca leaf, and kola nut extract, lime extract, flavoring mixture, vanilla and glycerin.
Do coca-cola and Pepsi heavy advertisement campaigns really affect people's choices of drinking either of them, or do people choose between them due to habit and pre-formed attitudes?
