Vaginal Ultrasounds
The vaginal ultrasound is the most common test to have done because; it can look and see inside the whole pelvic area. This procedure can determine and actually see what and where the problem is at. Ultrasounds are a more actuate test and it uses sound waves to make up pictures of the organs and structures in the lower and vaginal area.
Transvaginal ultrasounds are done to look for problems with fertility, ovarian cysts, and abscess that form on the skin or on tissues with inside the body. Every woman, who is having symptoms and signs of something wrong within their pelvic area, will eventually have to get a vaginal or pelvic ultrasound.
A woman might start out with severe pain in her lower pelvic area, and have some bleeding. To determine what the problem would be, is to have a vaginal ultrasound done. These tests sometimes can cause a little pain or discomfort because the way the test is performed inside the vaginal area.
When women have chronic pain in their lower pelvic area, and she has signs of body weakness and vaginal discharge, the transvaginal ultrasound can determine if she has a pelvic infection or pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), which is a bacteria in her vaginal area. This test also can see a woman’s bladder, ovaries, and all other organs inside her body.
It can also determine a pregnancy and tumors that wasn’t noticed by any other signs or other tests. I feel that a vaginal ultrasound is the best test for every woman and including men, for prostate cancer or any other tests they need. I also have had vaginal ultrasounds done because of these pains I was having and this test determined that I had a cyst on one of my ovaries; so therefore, my doctor prescribed me some medicine to shrink down the cysts to help it go away.
